If you are interested in serving on any City of Alamogordo Board or Committee, please fill out the application and submit it online or print it and return it to the City Clerk’s office. Call 575-439-4100 for more information. You can also review Article 2-04 regarding Boards, Commissions, and Committees to understand more of the process, duties, expectations, and requirements as written in our Code of Ordinances.

Current Vacancies

Unless otherwise provided by law, all persons appointed to any public board or committee shall be residents of the City. To see if you live within City limits, please review the GIS Alamogordo General Map and search for your address. City limits appear as dotted red lines. The vacancies below are up to date as of Friday, December 12, 2025.

  • Airport Advisory Board - One upcoming vacancy as of 1/23/2026. 
  • Airport Zoning Board - One current vacancy for an applicant who lives within City limits. 
  • Alamogordo Public Library Board - Two current vacancies for applicants who live outside City limits but within Otero County limits. These county vacancies will be appointed by the Otero County Commission. 
  • Senior Volunteer Programs Advisory Council - Six current vacancies for applicants who live within City limits.
