Zoo Improvement projects

The City of Alamogordo is always working to improve its amenities. The Alameda Park Zoo is no exception. The zoo has been working on many new projects including the addition of new picnic tables & benches, a new pergola outside of the Education Center, custom light fixtures, and new lighting at the playground.  The historic welcome sign was also moved to the new entrance and the Kangaroo exhibit has been transformed with new grass and a major trimming of the trees within the exhibit.  New railings are also in the works at the north end of the zoo by the wolves and deer.  Many other projects on the way and we look forward to providing a more exciting and inviting environment to all our visitors and animals. If you haven't visited the zoo in a while, stop by soon and see all the great improvements and enhancements. Open Daily 9 am to 5 pm!
