Taught by an experienced artist, you will gain an understanding of how different art tools are made and how to use them with numerous techniques so you can go home and create your own masterpieces! Each week, we’ll offer a two-part program, one session that covers art media on Tuesday and the other for guided practice of said techniques on Thursday. Dates:
April 9 and 11 - Graphite - We'll cover the most basic, versatile, and ancient of art tools. This media is both excellent at controlling value and shading, as well as expressive lines. Join us as we explore the many possibilities graphite can offer in drawing.
April 16 & 18 - Chalk Pastels - We'll study the colorful variety that chalk pastels have to offer. From broad expressive strokes to fine delicate details, chalk pastels are an incredible and versatile medium. Joint us as we examine the amazing media of chalk pastel.
April 23 & 25 - Watercolor - We'll dive into the expansive media of watercolor; these liquid tools offer an outstanding number of techniques to learn and master. Watercolor's soft edges make for very delicate works of art.
