Youth Services

The Children's Room offers an excellent selection of both classic and contemporary books for children from infants through about 8th grade. Special collections in the Children's room include:

  • Audio Books
  • Braille BooksBookshelves and plants in the children's room
  • Children's DVDs
  • Graphic Novels
  • Spanish and German Language Books

Teaching

We also have a special collection for teaching that include books, learning kits, globes, and other things to help the teacher or home schooler provide the best teaching possible.

Tools

Five computer workstations in children's room offer a variety of children's content and filtered Internet access. An AWE Early Literacy Station™ is available for interactive learning activities. Printed copies of the library's Social Story are available to borrow at the children's librarian's desk. 

Field Trips

Group tours for classes and groups are available when scheduled in advance with the Youth Services Librarian.
